Jeffrey Kirschenbaum has been upped to exec VP of production at Universal Pictures. Kirschenbaum, who has been with the studio for nearly a decade, served as the production exec on Uni’s highest-grossing film of 2009: “Fast & Furious.” He also worked on Universal tentpoles “Wanted,” “The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor” and “The Bourne Ultimatum.” In his new post, he’ll report to newly installed production prexy Debbie Liebling and will continue to shepherd such projects as “Scott Pilgrim Vs. the World,” “Wanted 2,” “Battleship,” “47 Ronin” and the fifth installment in the “Fast and Furious” franchise.
